Good afternoon,
The recent Vital Access
Provider Assurance Program (VAPAP) Applicant Conference on April 29 is available as an archived event at:
Further, during the conference, the state Health Department promised clarification to the following question:
Question: Should facilities that do not
currently meet the fifteen-or-less day cash criterion, but project that
condition will be eventually met, apply on April 30? How will their need
be factored into the allocation of awards from the $245 million VAPAP pool?
Answer: Facilities that do not
currently meet the VAPAP eligibility criteria, including the less than 15 days
available cash and equivalents financial metric, should not apply on
April 30, 2015. A facility that qualifies for VAPAP assistance after
the initial application due date may submit at that time. Awards will be
based on the individual facilities’ financial condition and availability of
VAPAP resources at that time.
