DOH: Take Time to View Detailed DSRIP Webinar

New York's health department is strongly urging healthcare providers applying for DSRIP funds to view its informational webinar on the development of a Performing Provider System (PPS) by going to:  http://www.health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/redesign/docs/hpi_example.wmv

The webinar outlines a step-by-step process for a hypothetical safety net provider going through the DSRIP planning phase, resulting in a DSRIP Project Plan.  

The process outlined includes:

• Identifying PPS partners;

• Development of a governance structure;

• Use of the community needs assessment and using that assessment to identify DSRIP plan projects; and 

• The valuation process applied to the project plan.
