During today's webinar on Medicaid patient attribution and valuation of Performing Provider Systems (PPS') under the state health department's Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program, several announcements and reminders were issued, including:
- Regarding safety net provider appeals, a second round of appeals will be opened up later this month. Details will be released on this today (Friday) or Monday.
- DOH will be asking providers to “lock into” their PPS network in a few weeks.
- FINAL NETWORK LISTS WILL BE REQUIRED IN NOVEMBER prior to the December due date. The state Health Department wants to be able to use that list to give PPS' a primary valuation before they submit their final applications in December. The determination made will lock in PPS project attribution and valuation through the Medicaid Waiver DSRIP program for the next five years.
- When planning grant awards are announced Aug. 6, each grant-receiving PPS will receive a survey to be used by the support team vendor to put together a plan to deploy technical resources and support to all the PPS’ who are ready to submit completed applications. KPMG will help with wider issues re clinical integration governance, project toolkits and community need assessments among other aspects. DOH said it is important to take the survey seriously so all PPS applicants can be successful.
- A DSRIP performance dashboard will be built starting with lead PPS' as early as Monday.
- Project plan applications out for public comment should be out by the end of August. Where available, DOH will make baseline data available for valuation.
- DOH Expects to post slides from today's webinar on DSRIP PPS patient attribution and project valuation to its website by this afternoon.
- An initial community needs assessment webinar has already been held; another webinar, regarding infrastructure, will be held this month.
