SAFETY NET APPEAL PROCESS: ROUND TWO

 
GOOD AFTERNOON,
Medicaid providers who did not make it into the first round of selection as designated Medicaid Safety Net providers may try again. The second-round Delivery System Reform Incentive Program Safety Net designation appeal process began Monday (Aug. 12).  DSRIP Safety Net Appeal forms must be submitted to state Health Department no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27.
The state Health Department's announcement of a second round of appeals for safety net status is open to all Medicaid providers, including physicians and pharmacies.

The DSRIP Safety Net Appeal Form should be completed in Microsoft Excel format and sent by 5:00pm, August 27, 2014 via unsecured e-mail to:
The e-mail subject line should read "Appeal Facility Name[type your facility or provider name] – DSRIP Safety Net Appeal." DOH specified that late appeals will not be accepted. 
In its announcement, state DOH officials specified that non-qualifying providers can still participate in Performing Provider Systems. However, non-qualifying providers are eligible to receive Medicaid DSRIP payments totaling no more than 5 percent of a  project’s total valuation.
