DSRIP Safety Net Definition Physician, Pharmacy Lists Now Online; Appeal Form Available

The Safety Net Definition section of the DSRIP website (http://www.health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/redesign/dsrip_safety_net_definition.htm) has been updated to include:
-          A list of qualifying Safety Net physicians;
-          A list of qualifying Safety Net pharmacies; and
-          An appeal form for physicians and pharmacies to appeal their Safety Net designation.

Physician Safety Net Analysis is based upon the data provided as part of the 
Meaningful Use initiative data for Physicians who were determined to provide greater than 35% of their services to Medicaid recipients was used as a basis for the Physician Safety Net Analysis. 

The Pharmacy Safety Net Analysis includes  pharmacies that submitted 
Cost of Dispensing (COD) Surveys to the Department of Health (DOH) in September 2012, who reported Medicaid FFS prescription volume as  >= 35% of the  total volume were used as a basis for the Pharmacy Safety Net Analysis.


July 15 Safety Net Appeal Deadline
A Physician and Pharmacy Appeal form posted on the DSRIP Web page under the Safety Net Definition section should be submitted by July 15, 2014 for physicians or pharmacies not included in the listings to be considered for inclusion on the safety net list.
